Senior Quality Assurance Manager (m/w/d) - Discovery & Consideration - onsite in Hamburg or Berlin

We are currently looking for a skilled & passionate Senior Quality Assurance Manager (m/f/d) to become part of our App & Web Team at ABOUT YOU onsite in Hamburg or Berlin. 

Our App & Web Team constantly improves the App, Mobile Website and Desktop Website. These big-scale products are each visited by several million people every month. The team’s focus is to provide the most inspiring, convenient, intuitive, and easy-to-use shopping experience for our customers. They constantly challenge themselves to raise the bar of what is “state of the art” in customer-facing products.

What you will do

• Perform high-quality manual testing for the ABOUT YOU Mobile App, covering the whole customer journey 
• Collaborate closely with app developers to understand project requirements and provide input on testing strategies
• Oversee the quality of the application and contribute to creating a strong user experience
• Take ownership of bug reports or tickets from internal and external stakeholders, prioritise them based on their business value, and ensure timely resolution
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of ABOUT YOU's long-term automated testing strategy
• Coordinate app release tasks and perform regression testing
• Act as an advocate for product quality within a cross-functional development team, promoting best practices and driving continuous improvement
• Coordinate testing efforts to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality features

 

Who you are

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, testing, and debugging of frontend applications, preferably mobile apps and large-scale projects
• ​​​​​​​Proficient in manual testing techniques, including exploratory and destructive testing, as well as automated testing
• Familiarity with process and ticketing tools such as Jira and Confluence, enabling effective collaboration and organisation
• Strong knowledge and experience with testing tools, particularly TestRail, for efficient test management and reporting
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical systems, allowing for efficient testing and debugging activities
• Detail-oriented approach to testing, with a strong focus on test case design as well as business value and user experience of software
• Passion for delivering innovative features quickly while maintaining high reliability standards
• Experience working with agile methodologies and implementing a quality mindset in an agile environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders
• Fluent in English, demonstrating proficiency in both speaking and writing.
