The Team

You'll join the Frontend Platform Team, a cross-functional engineering team that builds shared systems and components used across all of BLP's Stream-Aligned Teams (SATs). The team is also responsible for quality assurance across releases, which includes:

• Release and smoke testing

• Feature-level testing

• Maintaining test environments

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys diving deep into new domains, holds themselves to high quality standards, and thrives on clear communication across teams.

What You'll Do

• Manually test individual tickets (features, bug fixes, improvements) against acceptance criteria and verify expected behavior

• Provide clear, structured feedback to developers — including reproduction steps, screenshots, and severity assessments

• Perform smoke tests and regression checks before each release to ensure core functionality remains intact

• Write and maintain test cases and checklists for recurring workflows

• Collaborate closely with product managers and developers to clarify requirements and uncover edge cases

• Report, track, and follow up on defects in Jira, ensuring issues are resolved before release

• Help improve QA processes, testing standards, and documentation

• Participate in sprint planning and reviews to understand upcoming changes and bring a QA perspective

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in manual software testing, ideally in a B2B SaaS or enterprise software environment

• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test case design, and defect lifecycle management

• Experience with Jira (or similar) and agile/Scrum teams

• Strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for delivering high-quality software

• Excellent written communication skills in English (German is a plus)

• Ability to think critically, identify edge cases, and test beyond the happy path

• Familiarity with browser developer tools and basic API testing (e.g. Postman) is a plus

• Experience with ERP systems or manufacturing/industrial domain knowledge is a strong advantage

Nice to Have

• Experience writing basic automated tests or willingness to learn test automation frameworks

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and how testing fits into the release process

• Knowledge of performance testing fundamentals
