About the team

You’ll join the Sell Online Tribe, the group shaping how merchants bring their businesses to life online. We design and build tools that help millions of entrepreneurs, from barbers to bakers, sell their products and services anywhere. Our focus is on Online Store and Bookings, two products at the heart of SumUp’s ecosystem. Together, they give merchants the power to manage appointments, showcase their offerings, and get paid - all from their phones.

We’re a cross-functional team of Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers who move fast, collaborate openly, and care deeply about crafting beautiful mobile experiences. As part of this team, you’ll help us expand into new verticals, close the gap between web and mobile, and make digital selling effortless for small businesses everywhere.

About the role

As a Senior QA Engineer within the Sell Online Tribe, you will be the guardian of quality for products that empower millions of entrepreneurs. You will play a pivotal role in our ecosystems, ensuring a seamless transition for merchants moving between web and mobile platforms. This is a high-impact role designed for a QA expert, you’ll be part of a robust, cross-functional team bridging the gap between sophisticated automation and high-touch manual exploration.

What you’ll do

• Build, maintain, and scale web and mobile test automation suites for the Bookings product and related areas

• Perform manual testing for new features and regression testing for both web and weekly mobile releases

• Analyze requirements to design comprehensive test cases and identify potential edge cases

• Conduct code reviews and collaborate with engineers to ensure bug resolution and high-quality deployments

• Utilize AI tools to optimize and accelerate your automation workflows

• Shift between product squads flexibly based on tribe workloads and specific quarterly needs

• Maintain and improve CI pipelines to ensure consistent automation coverage

You’ll thrive in this role if

• You have at least 5 years of QA experience with a strong focus on automation

• You possess extensive practical knowledge of Robot Framework

• You are proficient in AppiumLibrary for cross-platform mobile automation (iOS/Android)

• You have hands-on experience with Browser Library (Playwright-based) for web automation

• You are skilled in manual test case design, exploratory testing, and mobile debugging with ADB/Xcode

• You use Git for version control and leverage AI to enhance your automation processes

• You communicate clearly in English and can articulate complex topics to various stakeholders

• You are a flexible team player with a "can-do" attitude and a genuine interest in delivering value to merchants

Nice to have:

• You have experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins

• You can develop custom libraries using Python

• You are familiar with API testing and mobile device clouds like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs

• You have a product mindset and an interest in how digital products are built and scaled
