Purpose of Role/Summary:

The Senior QA Engineer will ensure the quality and reliability of a mission-critical financial trading system. Working with developers, product managers, and QA colleagues, you will define test strategies, execute test cases, and maintain robust frameworks. Both Manual and Automation testing are essential, with a focus on catching defects early, improving coverage, and ensuring seamless system performance in a high-stakes environment.

Main Activities & Responsibilities:

Analyze requirements and technical documentation to define effective test strategies

Design and execute manual test cases

Support test documentation on a regular basis

Manual testing with focus on Backend and API testing

Maintain and extend existing test frameworks

Contribute to CI/CD integration of test automation

Develop and maintain performance and load tests to cover key system components

Identify, document, and track bugs in collaboration with developers and the product team

Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release verification

Ensure test coverage for critical user flows, edge cases, and regression scenarios

And any other duties as required by the role

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any other field is acceptable

Fluent in English both written and spoken. Ukrainian will be considered an advantage

+5 years of experience in software testing, including both manual and automation

Experience with tools like TestRail, JIRA

Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and testing best practices

Experience testing RESTful APIs and gRPC services

SQL knowledge and experience querying PostgreSQL or similar

Familiarity with Postman for manual/exploratory API testing

Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or WSL (for dev/testing environments)

Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills

Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments

Good communication skills and a proactive mindset

Creative multi-tasker with a strong work ethic

Experience in FinTech, trading systems, or financial applications will be considered an advantage

Familiarity with CI tools like GitHub Actions will be nice to have

Experience with TypeScript, Mocha would be an added advantage

Experience writing performance/load tests with K6/JMeter would be also considered a plus

Working hours are 09:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday
