Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
Detailed engagement with product owners, BA, other teams.
Application of diligent QA practices, identify, and document test scenarios based on User Stories.
Demonstrating a consistent focus on quality, ensure that the team delivers reliable, robust software through the creation and execution of automated functional and non-functional tests.
Through participation in grooming, refinement/planning sessions, will work with other team members to analyse test requirements, provide test design options, and provide work breakdown and estimates of work.
Working within a multi-functional agile team, build robust automated tests, adhering to company standards and established software methodology.
Maintain the framework that runs our automated tests and will implement automated tests as required to support our releases to customers.
Involved in manual and exploratory testing.
To help the teams develop and learn, review work of peers and more junior test engineers, providing advice and guidance to benefit the team.
Through agile retrospectives and reviews, inspect and adapt, finding innovative ways to make the team work more effectively.
Focused on delivering quality and features through automation written to a high standard. Focused on trying to achieve 100% automation coverage.

Qualifications
Experienced quality engineer with a solid background in writing structured automated tests
Strong hands‑on proficiency in Java
Solid technical background with understanding of programming styles, frameworks, design patterns and integration testing
Use of source code management tools such as Git
Experience integrating automation frameworks with CI tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI to enable continuous testing.
Good knowledge of SDLC and test management tools, e.g. Jira, Test Rail
Proven understanding of the test lifecycle (planning, analysis, execution, reporting)
Problem solving and being pro-active when problems/issues arise
Practical experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Gherkin)
Desired Skills/Experience Required:
Solid experience with Selenium WebDriver along with experience in building or extending automation frameworks from scratch
Practical experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Gherkin)
Sound understanding of object-oriented programming techniques
Strong knowledge of API testing (Rest Assured / Postman / similar)
Experience in building API framework and automate API tests
Knowledge of performance testing
Good to Have :
Experience testing data‑driven or content‑driven applications
Exposure to log‑based validation, backend validation, or data comparison
knowledge on python
Education/ Certifications:
ISTQB Foundation Certification
A good relevant degree
