Senior QA Automation Engineer

As a senior member of our team, you’ll influence testing frameworks across multiple project streams, drive continuous improvement in the platform, assist in improving ways of working and play a key part in ensuring our platforms remain stable, scalable and easy to use.

What you’ll do

• Develop, maintain and execute test plans, test cases and automated test scripts aligned to product and technical requirements.
• Lead testing activities across large or complex initiatives, ensuring high coverage and quality outcomes.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, performance and UAT testing to validate end-to-end product behaviour.
• Identify, log and triage defects, ensuring clear documentation and timely resolution throughout the SDLC.
• Manage release readiness and support platform version promotion across Test, Pre-Prod and Production environments.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, BAs, architects and product managers to review requirements, identify risk areas and recommend quality improvement opportunities.
• Conduct root cause analysis and contribute to best practice quality processes, standards and frameworks.
• Support the uplift of automation coverage and continuous testing practices where applicable.
• Keep testing documentation up to date as features evolve.

 

What you’ll bring

• Extensive experience in software quality assurance, testing methodologies and SDLC best practice.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools and languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodology
• Experience using JIRA, Confluence, Git based version control and CI/CD tooling.
• Experience working on platforms with different user roles/user types.
• Ability to write clear, concise and high quality test artefacts and defect tickets.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with SQL, database testing and API automation/testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST assured).

Nice to have

• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Industry certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE).
• Experience working with cloud native, distributed or micro-services based systems.
• Scrum master experience
