Job Description
Making music visible - at eye level with colleagues, partners and customers:
Whether you call yourself a Developer, Engineer, or simply a Software Enthusiast – what matters to us is your drive to turn great ideas into real, impactful features. You’ll work on our own product, MESLIS, which we continuously evolve and improve to support European rights organizations. You won’t be developing for anonymous customers – you’ll build something we use and believe in ourselves.
If you value technical depth, creative freedom, and a motivated team, you’ll feel at home with us. You’ll collaborate in a cross-functional team of Product Owners, Project Managers, C# Backend Developers, React Frontend Developers, and Platform Engineers. Together, we design cloud-native microservices, make architectural decisions, and implement features from idea to production.
Our Tech Stack
Cloud-native Microservices | Python (FastAPI, gRPC, Pandas, TensorFlow, Transformers, Poetry) | Event-driven Architecture with Kafka | GCP (Kubernetes, Cloud SQL, Firestore) | Deployment & CI/CD (Bitbucket, Docker, ArgoCD, Terraform, SonarCloud)
Here you set the tone:
• Develop cloud-native ETL pipelines in Python – from data ingestion and enrichment to classification, matching, and merging processes
• Work on semantic search and clustering algorithms that intelligently link and enrich event and location data
• Evaluate and optimize model and pipeline quality using data-driven approaches
• Apply best practices in CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and testing throughout development
• Collaborate with GCP Platform Engineers as well as C# and React developers to ensure stable deployments and reliable operations
• Work closely with our Business and Product teams to design technical solutions that deliver real value
Your mix:
• Several years of experience with Python in developing cloud-native microservices
• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Kafka
• Solid understanding of machine learning frameworks and their use in production environments
• Basic experience with containerization and deployment tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform)
• Enjoy working in a cross-functional, agile environment with Product Owners, Project Managers, C#, and React developers
What you get for it:
• A modern, cloud-based tech stack following best practices from our professional GEMA group environment
• The opportunity to work on international projects in the music rights domain with direct product responsibility
• Flexible working hours, hybrid work model (up to 2 days home office), and up to 10 days of workation per year
• Employee benefits including Jobrad, public transport ticket, childcare allowance, and discounts at the Altmarkt-Galerie Dresden
• A modern office in a central location at Postplatz Dresden
All this is exactly your thing?:
