Your Role at impact.com:
The Partner Development Manager (PDM) is responsible for scaling Impact’s acquisition and recruitment efforts to drive a steady stream of publishers (traditional affiliates, media houses, content partners, influencers,...) to Impact’s marketplace and its brand portfolio. You are a go-getter. You are energized by the thrill of the chase. You like to build systems around success and replicate it 100-fold. You’re good at selling ideas and helping others see the value that you see. The PDM is critical to the success of Impact’s Marketplace & Brand growth and will be responsible for recruiting, connecting, optimizing, and scaling Publishers on the Impact platform. The PDM will be a part of a growing global team with supporting lineages within the Product Growth team.
What You'll Do:
We are seeking a proactive and strategic Publisher Development Manager to join our Japan team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our publisher partnerships, from identifying and recruiting new partners to cultivating and strengthening relationships with existing ones. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, understanding the nuances of the Japanese market, and collaborating with global teams to ensure collective success.
• Strategic Relationship Management: Build and strengthen relationships with a diverse portfolio of existing domestic publishers, from major corporations to small and medium-sized businesses. Drive revenue growth and retention by providing a world-class partner experience that fosters trust and loyalty.
• New Partner Acquisition: Lead new business development efforts in the Japanese market. Formulate and execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy to uncover high-potential publishers, re-engage dormant ones, and manage a robust pipeline from initial contact to onboarding.
• Partner Enablement & Growth: Guide new partners through a successful onboarding process and drive their path to initial success. Develop and implement partner enablement programs that unlock key growth opportunities, deeply understand their business priorities, and provide solutions to their challenges.
• Market-Specific Strategy & Localization: Identify the unique needs and challenges of the Japanese market through continuous dialogue with partners. Translate these insights into actionable localization requirements and collaborate with internal product and technical teams to implement them.
• Internal & Global Collaboration: Work closely with the local Client Success team to support strategic partner recruitment. Collaborate with overseas Publisher Development Managers (PDMs) to leverage global market knowledge and maximize cross-functional results.
• Data-Driven Insights & Reporting: Analyze market trends based on primary information from domestic publishers to provide valuable insights for the Japan team's strategy and organizational growth. Be responsible for meeting partnership and account growth targets, and ensure all activities are accurately tracked in our CRM.
• Expansion Opportunities: Identify and pursue sales and expansion opportunities within the partner base for our publisher solutions (e.g., Supply-side License, Trackonomics).
Ecosystem Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of our product lines, the competitive landscape, and the internal ecosystem to effectively position our value to partners.
What You Bring:
• 3-8 years of Publisher/Influencer/Partner experience for an affiliate/influencer/digital marketing tech or service company.
• Previous experience in partnership marketing is a key requirement.
• Strong account management and or business development experience with a focus on Publisher/Partner development.
• Demonstrated successful collaboration with internal international teams.
