Position Summary
Amacon, one of Canada’s foremost real estate development, construction and property management firms, is looking for a Senior Property Accountant. The Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of property management accounting. This role will report to the Director, Operations Accounting,
Position Responsibilities
Review and/or preparation of monthly financial statements for income producing properties
Work with the property management team to provide timely and accurate accounting information
Maintain lease and tenant information in Yardi
Review and ensure accuracy of rent rolls
Maintain capital asset continuity schedules
Assist with the preparation of annual budgets
Assist with the preparation and/or review of annual CAM Reconciliation
Review and/or preparation of quarterly Joint Venture statements
Calculate monthly management fees
Financial data entry including preparation of journal entries
Maintain the company’s policies and procedures
Other tasks as assigned
Experience & Qualifications
Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree in accounting; CPA designation an asset
Experience: 5+ years’ experience in full cycle real estate accounting
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to meet tight timelines while managing multiple projects and priorities effectively
Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Computer Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook

This full-time salaried position works 8:30 am - 5:00 pm in the office, Monday through Friday and is in downtown Vancouver.
