The Senior Project Manager for Strategic Initiatives is responsible for managing the programming, operational planning and design of complex projects for General Services under the general supervision of the Director of Strategic Initiatives. This includes supporting process improvement initiatives as well as the design, development, and implementation of related large multidisciplinary projects for the division. This position ensures the completion of projects within budget, on schedule, and meets all program objectives and appropriate government regulations. Acts as a liaison between the client/users and all other project participants including consultants, contractors, vendors, and outside jurisdictional agencies. Responsible for planning, scheduling, assigning, and overseeing the work of project participants and assigned members. Research, develop and produce financial and management reports, variance analysis, market and strategic business analysis and related projects in support of business development and strategic planning.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures, including its Service Standards and its Code of Conduct.

* Designs and drives multiple large projects as directed by the Director of Space Analytics and Strategic Initiatives supporting organizational business plans and initiatives. Oversees the performance of project teams and sub teams that create measurable, and sustainable, high-impact, strategic change. Leads teams through a disciplined visioning, scoping, implementation, and decision-making methodology.

* Develops, interprets, communicates, and executes project plan and budget. Defines project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

* Establishes an influential, consultative relationship with project sponsors through visioning, ROI analysis, structured decision-making, and superior execution.

* Provides direction to project team based on organizational/project goals. Acts as an advisor to project team to resolve technical or operational problems. Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

* As guided by project plan and business objectives, leads a large project team of professionals including performance, cost, and financial accountabilities. Documents and manages current state, future state and gap analysis for process improvement and workflows.

* Is accountable for the performance and results of the project and project team. Provides leadership to project team members by defining intent and overseeing development deliverables to ensure project goals are met.

* Analyzes complex operational and procedural problems and develops, recommends, and implements proposed solutions. Approves and executes improvements to operating policies and procedures for teams. Identifies and drives business, product, service, and process improvements.

* Builds consensus in leading projects and activities across teams. Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.

* Manages communications on a regular and timely basis, ensuring that all project participants are informed of project status, problems, and required actions. Guides, influences and persuades others internally and/or externally, including executives, vendors, and regulators.

* Prepares and maintains accurate, coherent, timely, and auditable project records/files, and cost estimates with department procedures; and ensures that space inventory reports are complete.

* Implements quality control measures to ensure project compliance with department, hospital, and university policies, government codes and regulations; also ensures conformance to the requirements of all project participants.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Seven (7) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience

License/Certification: None Required

* Ability to guide, influence, and persuade individuals at all levels of the organization.

* Knowledge of Lean, JIT, Six Sigma and Flow Manufacturing techniques

* Knowledge of principles of business and management strategic planning, leadership development, and education techniques

* In-depth knowledge of own functional areas as well as knowledge of other functional areas.

Pay Range

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.

Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

Minimum to Midpoint Range (Hourly): $60.34 to $80.04
