Job Description

A California-based organization in the sustainability and infrastructure space is looking for an experienced Senior Program Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of large-scale hardware deployments, production coordination, and rollouts across multiple sites.

This position is a high-visibility, execution-driven opportunity at the crossroads of operations and project leadership. The individual in this role will partner closely with executive stakeholders and frontline teams, taking ownership of timelines, vendor coordination, permitting activity, and installation readiness across several concurrent initiatives.

This opportunity is well suited to someone who performs well in fast-paced, complex environments, maintains high standards, and has a demonstrated ability to lead physical, multi-location projects through to completion with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage mass production timelines in close partnership with manufacturing vendors, ensuring materials, sequencing, and deliverables remain on schedule
• Serve as the main point of contact for city and state agencies, engineers, contractors, and outside partners
• Maintain detailed project documentation across all active initiatives, including timelines, milestones, BOMs, change logs, and status reporting
• Lead the complete production and deployment lifecycle for a flagship rollout, from manufacturing coordination through site installation and final operational handoff across 11+ locations
• Identify risks early, remove bottlenecks, and drive accountability across internal teams and external vendors
• Oversee manufacturing workflows and cross-functional coordination for a second parallel business unit, ensuring both operations remain aligned and on track
• Provide executive leadership with clear, consistent updates, escalating only material blockers while independently managing day-to-day execution
• Drive site readiness across deployment locations, including permitting, contractor coordination, and installation preparation

Requirements:
Required Qualifications

• Proven success leading multi-site hardware rollouts, manufacturing deployments, or other large-scale physical installations from planning through completion
• Comfortable operating independently and making sound decisions without ongoing supervision
• 8-12+ years of hands-on experience in operations and project leadership, with direct responsibility for physical project execution
• Strong command of project documentation and tracking, including scheduling tools, milestone management, risk registers, and status reporting
• Able to manage several competing priorities at once while maintaining accuracy in high-pressure environments
• Experience working with manufacturers, vendors, contractors, and government or regulatory agencies
• Highly organized with exceptional follow-through and strong attention to detail
• Strong communicator who can represent leadership effectively with external stakeholders and agencies

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with project management platforms such as Smartsheet, Jira, or similar ERP/PM systems
• Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered
• Exposure to permitting processes involving California city or state agencies
• Experience supporting manned operations tied to automated or scaled systems
• Industry background in manufacturing, industrial production, renewable energy, EV infrastructure, telecom, utilities, or construction

Benefits:
Base Salary: $160,000 – $170,000 per year

Bonus: The role may include a discretionary bonus based on performance and overall company results.

Benefits include:

• Health insurance
• 401(k) plan
• Paid vacation leave
