The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing projects (typically Responsibilities / Tasks
• Foster a strong culture of ownership within the project team to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.
• Plan, monitor, and maintain project schedules, including tracking progress, man-hour estimates, and margin targets.
• Provide regular updates on project progress to multiple stakeholders, including internal Project Review Meetings and customers.
• Ensure all project activities are coordinated and executed in accordance with GEA’s standard practices and procedures, while meeting customer expectations as far as commercially feasible.
• Deliver projects in line with agreed scope, cost, quality, and schedule, ensuring completion within budget.
• Manage customer relationships and ensure high levels of satisfaction throughout project execution.
• Oversee site activities to ensure alignment with project planning and full compliance with Health & Safety requirements at all times.
• Attend client meetings on-site to support commissioning of GEA-supplied equipment and achievement of all KPIs.
• Manage claims and change orders effectively.
• Ensure strong integration and alignment across all project stakeholders.
• Perform risk management activities to identify, mitigate, and minimize project risks.
• Capture, document, and evaluate lessons learned from each project.
• Develop procurement plans in collaboration with the supply chain to align fabrication and component delivery with project timelines.
• Lead a small team of project engineers (without direct line management responsibility).
Your Profile / Qualifications
• Degree in Engineering.
• Experience within manufacturing, engineering, pharmaceutical, or chemical environments.
• Relevant project management qualification is preferred.
• Strong application of project management methodologies and commercial project management skills.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a commercial project manager.
• Knowledge of legal and contractual aspects of project execution.
• Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
