Senior Project Manager - Design & Construction

As a full-time Senior Project Manager - Design & Construction at SIXT, you will serve as the Owner’s Representative for a leading car rental company, overseeing the planning, design, and construction of new facilities, renovations, and capital improvements. YOUR ROLE AT SIXT 

• You act as the Owner’s Representative throughout all phases of design and construction, from concept through closeout.
• You manage multiple simultaneous projects, including airport rental car facilities, maintenance shops, fueling systems, car wash systems, plumbing and electrical infrastructure, ADA accessibility features, and administrative offices.
• You oversee programming, design development, permitting, procurement, and construction to ensure alignment with company standards, operational requirements, and brand image.
• You ensure compliance with lease agreements, airport design criteria, local building codes, ADA requirements, safety regulations, and sustainability goals.
• You lead negotiations and manage relationships with landlords, airport authorities, and regulatory agencies.
• You have technical knowledge in fueling system design, permitting, construction, automatic car was systems, plumbing and electrical systems and codes, ADA requirements, and IT system cabling design and installation. 

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

• Experience  You have 10+ years of progressive experience in design and construction project management, preferably in an owner’s rep or client-side capacity.
• Education  You have a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Technical Proficiency You have experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and Primavera
• Soft Skills You have a proven track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects on time and on budget.
• Commitment to Excellence You have excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage effectively with executives, operations teams, contractors, and public agencies.
• Travel You have the ability to travel frequently to project sites across the U.S. and Canada.
