We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead multiple commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects in a hands-on subcontractor environment with full ownership of execution and performance. This role is responsible for managing complex HVAC installations, piping systems, and field operations across multiple concurrent jobs. The position requires a highly experienced PM who can operate independently, drive project outcomes, and support overall project delivery in a fast-paced contractor setting. This role is critical to maintaining timelines, margins, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
• Oversee multiple commercial HVAC and mechanical projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring performance across schedule, budget, and quality
• Lead field teams, subcontractors, and internal staff across concurrent job sites
• Manage complex HVAC installations, piping systems, and mechanical scopes across projects
• Drive project schedules, cost control, and execution while resolving risks and delays
• Interface with clients, inspectors, and leadership to maintain alignment and project success
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to guide field execution
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and overall project documentation
• Support procurement strategy, subcontractor selection, and jobsite coordination
Requirements:
• 8+ years of experience managing commercial HVAC or mechanical construction projects
• Strong background in commercial HVAC systems (residential-only experience will not be considered)
• Experience working for a mechanical contractor, HVAC subcontractor, or design-build mechanical firm
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously with full ownership
• Ability to lead field teams, subcontractors, and project staff across active jobs
• Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, specifications, and project execution
• Experience with project scheduling and cost management tools (Microsoft Project or similar preferred)
• Must be comfortable in a hands-on, small-company environment with broad responsibilities
