About the Company
This is a high-volume Project Manager opportunity with a nationally respected heavy civil contractor delivering complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the Northeast. This role is open due to growth.
The project manager is responsible for multi-year, $50M–$120M projects, working directly with senior leadership and helping expand the company’s geographic footprint.
About the Role
Project Manager (Heavy Civil – Water/Wastewater)
Location: Cape Cod / Greater Coastal Massachusetts (Relocation Available)
Responsibilities
Full lifecycle project management across large-scale water/wastewater and heavy civil infrastructure projects
Oversight of budgets, schedules, forecasting, and cost controls across multi-year builds
Direct client interface—serving as the face of the project and managing key relationships
Coordination with Construction Managers on staffing, equipment, and execution strategy
Monthly billing, cost tracking, and financial reporting
Change order management and resolution of payment issues
Ensuring compliance with permits, environmental regulations, and safety standards
Driving collaboration between field teams, superintendents, and subcontractors
Identifying risk early and proactively solving issues before they impact deliver
Supporting business growth by identifying and flagging new project opportunities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred, not required
Required Skills
10–15+ years of Project Management experience in heavy civil construction
Proven background in water/wastewater treatment plants REQUIRED
Experience across heavy civil infrastructure (pipelines, industrial construction, bridges, etc.)
Strong financial acumen—budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
Ability to lead from the front—hands-on, collaborative, and field-oriented
Experience managing large-scale, multi-year construction projects
Preferred Skills
Tools & systems: Procore (primary project management platform), Microsoft Office Suite, Trimble
Pay range and compensation package
Annual earnings of $250-300k/yr $180K–$200K base salary + aggressive discretionary bonus (OTE approx. $300K)
