Engineer who will help support a semiconductor like research lab their equipment facilities operation department. This department supports the equipment and laboratories that researchers use to perform their experiments. Types of support in this roll will include; preventative maintenance scheduling, preventative maintenance documentation, equipment trouble shooting, equipment repair, equipment modifications, planning, preparing specifications, generating purchase requests, safety upgrades, spare parts inventory control, maintaining databases and creating summary power point presentations.
Job Duties:
– Schedule routine safety preventative maintenance tasks. Document the schedule, document the findings and schedule & drive the repair solution. Duty includes observing deficiencies and developing continuous improvements. Maintain a database to document such.
– Work with researchers to improve their equipment by designing and implementing operational and safety improvements and modifications.
– Write specifications to purchase equipment or items required for equipment or facilities. Work with purchasing and create purchase request to procure such items or services.
– Hands on equipment or facilities troubleshooting.
Required Skills:
1) Must be a leader and have project management skills.
2) Strong skills in excel, powerpoint and word.
3) Strong communications skills.
4) Design and sketching skills. (use of Autocad would be a plus).
5) Hands on skills. Can and WILL use hand tools, drill, soldering iron.
6) Knowledge of electric circuits / power wiring a plus.
7) Knowledge of exhaust systems a plus.
