Senior Program Manager, Quality & Training, Mapping Operations

The Mapping Operations team is responsible for building, validating, and continuously improving the high-definition maps that power Waymo’s autonomous driving system. The team ensures that the vehicle has an accurate, up-to-date understanding of the world by transforming raw sensor data into reliable, production-ready map assets. The team sits at the intersection of autonomous driving, data operations, and quality assurance, partnering closely with Engineering, ML, and Product teams to support safe, scalable deployment across new and existing markets. We are looking for a Senior Program Manager in Hyderabad to lead the Quality & Training functions, partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders & vendor teams, and help improve operational and product quality.

You will:

• Act as a subject matter expert on Quality & Training, and maintain the end-to-end Quality Assurance (QA) framework, including performance metrics, and quality standards aligned with key business objectives.

• Systematically analyze QA data to identify trends, root causes of performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

• Partner with cross-functional teams on critical workflows and help achieve a high bar on Quality

• Conduct regular training needs assessments in partnership with our vendor teams, to identify knowledge and skill gaps.

• Lead the design and development of comprehensive training programs, including new hire onboarding. Leverage existing in-house teams to create engaging and effective training content across various formats.

• Create and manage a robust feedback loop where insights from the quality program directly inform the training curriculum, and the effectiveness of training is measured by subsequent quality performance.

You have:

• Bachelor's Degree in technical or business discipline

• Overall 12+ years of work experience managing large-scale and dynamic programs/ projects

• 6+ years of experience leading the Quality and/ or Training charters in a scaled operations set up

• 3+ years of people management experience

• Proven collaboration and communications skills working with globally distributed teams and multiple stakeholders

• Excellent data analysis skills, ability to derive insights and tell a story with data

We prefer:

• MBA preferred

• Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment

• Proven experience designing and implementing successful QA frameworks from the ground up

• Strong understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design principles

The expected base salary range for this full-time position is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
