Senior Product Test Engineer

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful applicant will be involved in the evaluation and approval of switching mode power supply development activities such as thermal, EMC, DVT evaluation and mechanical construction review.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive product evaluations for XP products, including thermal analysis, EMC testing, safety approvals, and DVT assessments—delivering clear, structured reports aligned with XP’s DVT specifications and timelines.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation and test reports to support internal reviews and external requirements.
• Collaborate with Field Application Engineers (FAEs) to design and implement product modifications tailored to customer-specific requirements, including the assembly of custom samples.
• Conduct root cause analysis on customer returns, identifying failure modes and recommending design or application improvements for both standard and customized products.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Over 10 years of experience in power electronics design and evaluation
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams, and SharePoint
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform is a strong advantage
• Strong technical writing, communication, and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented, results-driven, and committed to continuous improvement
• Team player with a proactive, responsible, and dynamic work ethic
• Solid understanding of power supply circuits, safety standards, and mechanical construction
