Senior Product Manager - Payments & Banking

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager – Finance & Lending Systems to lead the strategy, design, and execution of Soar’s financial infrastructure. This role is responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle of financing, payment, settlement, and reconciliation systems. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of lending, payments, regulatory compliance, and banking integrations within the Saudi market. The position requires strong expertise in regulated financial environments and the ability to translate complex financial and regulatory requirements into scalable product solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Ownership

• Define and own the roadmap for financing and financial transaction systems.

• Align product initiatives with regulatory requirements and operational objectives.

• Establish and monitor KPIs related to transaction reliability, reconciliation accuracy, disbursement precision, and operational efficiency.

• Ensure balance between compliance, risk controls, customer experience, and scalability.

2. Lending & Financing Lifecycle

• Own the product lifecycle across application, eligibility, offer generation, contracting, disbursement, installment management, settlement, and closure.

• Ensure accurate amortization schedules and financial calculations.

• Oversee implementation of cooling-off periods, early settlement logic, and structured repayment models.

• Ensure asset-linked contract integrity in Sharia-compliant financing structures.

• Coordinate insurance-triggered and exception-handling flows where applicable.

3. Payments & Settlement Systems

• Lead development of bank transfer integrations and local payment rails.

• Oversee card payment integrations (e.g., Mada, Visa, Mastercard).

• Define refund, reversal, dispute, and reconciliation workflows.

• Ensure accurate ledger entries, settlement logic, and payout mechanisms.

• Improve payment success rates and minimize reconciliation gaps.

4. Banking & Infrastructure Integrations

• Own product integrations with local Saudi banks, payment service providers, and relevant financial infrastructure entities.

• Define API requirements, SLAs, monitoring standards, and resiliency mechanisms.

• Collaborate with external partners to ensure stable and compliant integrations.

5. Regulatory & Compliance

• Ensure all financial workflows comply with Saudi regulatory requirements, including SAMA frameworks and applicable AML/CFT and KYC obligations.

• Embed regulatory controls into system design and product workflows.

• Support audits, regulatory reporting, and sandbox requirements where applicable.

• Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure ongoing alignment.

6. Risk & Controls

• Define transaction limits, monitoring thresholds, and fraud mitigation mechanisms.

• Balance risk management with conversion and operational efficiency.

• Support suspicious activity detection and transaction monitoring processes.

7. Execution & Delivery

• Translate business and regulatory requirements into structured PRDs, epics, and user stories.

• Work closely with engineering on system architecture, financial logic, and scalability.

• Oversee testing strategies for high-risk financial releases.

• Drive cross-functional alignment across product, engineering, operations, risk, and compliance.

Requirements:
Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Product Management.

• Minimum 3 years within fintech, lending, payments, or banking.

• Experience delivering financial products in regulated environments.

Domain Expertise

• Strong understanding of payment lifecycle (authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation).

• Experience with lending systems and financial calculation logic.

• Knowledge of ledger and accounting principles in transaction systems.

• Familiarity with Saudi payment ecosystem components and local banking integrations.

Regulatory Knowledge

• Practical exposure to Saudi regulatory frameworks (e.g., SAMA).

• Familiarity with AML, KYC, and CFT requirements.

• Experience supporting compliance audits or regulatory reviews is preferred.

Technical Capability

• Strong API literacy and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.

• Experience with high-availability, high-volume financial systems.

• Analytical capability to review financial data and transaction performance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in real estate finance or mortgage products.

• Exposure to Sharia-compliant financing structures.

• Experience with escrow or structured settlement models.

• Arabic language proficiency.
