Job Description
Join our quest to bring art to all.:
LUMAS is the leading global brands for affordable art. Since 2004, we have been bringing curated, signed and limited-edition artworks by established and emerging artists into sophisticated homes, offices and hospitality spaces worldwide.
We operate e-commerce platforms and 18 galleries across 8 countries, serving more than 350,000 loyal registered customers. Each year, over 550,000 visitors experience LUMAS in our galleries, while more than 6 million visit our websites.
Our next chapter is broader, more ambitious and highly exciting: We will expand into a curated universe of Design, Living & Objects — collectible, premium and emotionally compelling pieces at the intersection of art, design, interiors and lifestyle.
To lead this strategic expansion, we are hiring a founding and first-of-its-kind role.
You will build and own a new category for LUMAS.
You identify, source, initiate and launch exceptional premium products and collaborations beyond classic wall art — from collectible objects and artist-designed furniture to lighting, mirrors, editions, interior statements and luxury lifestyle pieces.
You act as the entrepreneurial owner between:
• Artists
• Designers
• Studios
• Manufacturers
• Art fabricators
• Licensing / collaboration partners
• Internal teams (Buying, Marketing, E-Commerce, Retail, Logistics)
You combine creative instinct, market understanding and commercial execution.
This role is for someone who sees opportunities before others do.
Your responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Category Building
• Define and build the new category Design, Living & Objects
• Create a compelling product roadmap with clear commercial logic
• Identify whitespace opportunities in premium interiors / art-adjacent categories
• Develop pricing architecture and margin strategy
Sourcing & Partnerships
• Source premium third-party products and brands for resale or exclusive distribution
• Initiate collaborations with artists, designers, studios and premium brands
• Build relationships with manufacturers and specialist fabricators globally
• Negotiate commercial terms, exclusivities and production models
Product Development
• Turn ideas into launchable products
• Manage projects from first concept to production and market launch
• Coordinate between creatives and technical manufacturers
• Ensure premium quality, fit, finish and packaging
Commercial Ownership
• Build business cases for new launches
• Define quantities, economics and launch priorities
• Partner with E-Commerce and Retail teams for successful go-to-market
• Monitor sales performance and optimize portfolio decisions
Trend & Market Intelligence
• Stay deeply connected to design, interiors, collectible objects, hospitality and luxury trends
• Know what is emerging before it becomes mainstream
• Translate trends into commercial product opportunities
Your profile:
You are not a classic corporate product manager.
You are commercially sharp, design-literate and deeply connected in relevant ecosystems.
Ideal Background:
• 5+ years experience in one or more of these areas:• Premium furniture / interiors
• Design brands
• Luxury homeware
• Collectible design
• Gallery / art business
• Premium lifestyle products
• Hospitality design sourcing
• Product collaborations / licensing
You Bring:
• Strong network across designers, makers, studios, manufacturers or premium brands
• Excellent taste level and strong aesthetic judgment
• Ability to assess whether something is desirable and sellable
• Experience managing external partners and complex launches
• Negotiation strength and entrepreneurial mindset
• Strong ownership mentality
• Structured execution with speed
• Fluent English required, German highly valuable
What Makes You Exceptional
• You know who can produce almost anything
• You know which collaborations would create real excitement
• You understand premium customers emotionally and commercially
• You can turn inspiration into revenue
• You naturally combine curation with business instinct
Why LUMAS?:
• Rare opportunity to build a completely new business pillar inside an established international brand
• High visibility and strategic relevance
• Large creative freedom with real ownership
• Direct impact on assortment and growth
• Dynamic entrepreneurial culture
• Berlin-based creative headquarters
