Job Description
About the Role
guardsix is a European cybersecurity platform built to safeguard society by empowering lean SecOps teams across Regional MSSPs and regulated mid-market organizations.
At the core of our product is the platform layer — how data is ingested, normalized, stored, queried, and made usable at scale.
We are hiring a Senior Product Manager - Core Platform to lead this area and define how our platform is built, deployed, and operated in real customer environments.
You will shape how guardsix SIEM:
Ingests and processes high-volume data reliably
Maintains consistent, usable data models across sources
Delivers fast, predictable query performance
Scales across customers and environments
Is deployed, configured, and operated successfully in production
This role sits at the core of the product. The strength of our platform, and how well it runs in real environments, determines product reliability, scalability, and customer trust.
The workplace will be based in Copenhagen or remote from Europe. You will report into VP, Product Management.
What You’ll Own
Platform Strategy & Architecture
Define end-to-end platform strategy (ingestion, storage, query performance)
Set customer-centric principles for scale, reliability, and consistency
Deployment & Architecture
Own real-world deployment of guardsix SIEM
Define reference architectures (enterprise, distributed, high-scale)
Set standards for sizing, performance, and scaling
Align product design with real-world constraints
Field Enablement
Create playbooks, best practices, and deployment standards
Define “what good looks like” in production
Turn field learnings into product and guidance improvements
Observability & Reliability
Establish end-to-end data observability (pipeline health, schema, visibility)
Define and track SLOs (ingestion, query, data integrity)
Ensure predictable behavior under real workloads
Log Management & Analytics
Own search, query, and data exploration experience
Drive data enrichment and transformation capabilities
Balance flexibility with strong defaults
Scalability & System Design
Define scaling across customers and high-ingestion scenarios
Manage trade-offs (performance vs cost, flexibility vs standardization)
Ensure performance and reliability at scale
Platform Quality
Prioritize stability over feature velocity
Treat data loss, ingestion failures, and inconsistencies as critical
Drive continuous quality improvements
How You’ll Work
Lead with Working Backwards (PRFAQ, customer journey, success metrics)
Own end-to-end delivery through NPI, ensuring the platform is deployable and usable in real environments
Operate deeply with:
Engineering (platform, backend, infra)
Design (data workflows)
Field teams (SE, CS, Support)
Stay close to real deployments to ensure the platform holds up under actual customer conditions
What You Bring
Core Expertise
Deep experience in:
Data platforms / data infrastructure
Log management / observability platforms
Large-scale ingestion or analytics systems
Strong understanding of:
Data pipelines (batch and streaming)
Schema design and normalization
Query performance and indexing
Deployment patterns for distributed systems
Deployment & Systems Thinking
Experience defining or supporting real-world deployments at scale
Understands:
Infrastructure sizing and constraints
Performance tuning in production
Trade-offs between architecture and operational reality
Comfortable working with field teams on deployment challenges
Operator Mindset
Thinks in systems, not just features
Obsesses over how things run in production
Makes clear technical trade-offs
Holds a high bar for reliability, consistency, and quality
