About the role:
 

We’re looking for a Senior Product Developer – Mechatronics, to join our Capture hardware team. In this role, you will contribute to all stages of the product development cycle, including research/prototyping, design/development, verification/validation, and transfer to production. You will design, build and test complex electro-mechanical sensing systems for the purpose of high quality image capture and high accuracy spatial measurement. You will collaborate with a cross functional team to ensure product quality and on time project delivery. We value engineers who think beyond the requirements to understand why a feature exists, how it’s used, and how it can be better.  
 

Job Duties:
 

Design, build, and test complex electro-mechanical assemblies 

Evaluate and integrate components, including sensors, cameras, motors, and embedded SoMs 

Mechanical design of components and fixtures 

Perform thermal and power analysis 

Verification and validation testing of Alpha and Beta builds 

Prepare design specifications and drawing packages 

Assist with design transfer activities 

What We’re Looking For:
 

5+ years of HW product development experience. 

Proficient with 3D CAD software (i.e., SolidWorks). 

Experience working with cameras, IMUs, and LiDARs 

Experience working with servo motors and encoders 

Familiarity with embedded processing systems (i.e., NVIDIA Jetson). 

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.  

Adept at breaking down complex problems and delivering practical, scalable solutions.  

Comfortable working in a collaborative, agile environment.  

Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity—you can adjust quickly when priorities shift, and you’re able to make progress even when some details are still taking shape. 

 
Bonus Points For:
 

Familiarity with photogrammetry and camera calibration. 

Experience working with 3D point clouds.
