Senior Product Designer, Websites

The Websites group owns Squarespace's core website builder experience, which serves as the foundation for millions of customer websites globally. Our mission is to make it effortless for anyone—entrepreneurs, creators, and small business owners—to build beautiful websites that express their brand and drive business outcomes.

As a Product Designer in the Websites group, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our editor experience, global styling systems, asset management tools, and our library of blocks, pages, and sections. You will work at the intersection of design intelligence and engineering innovation to define product experiences that are both expressive and accessible. You will partner closely with the Product Manager, Websites.

This is a hybrid role working from our Dublin office 2 days per week. You will report to the Product Design Manager of Websites.

You'll Get To…

• Lead the design for new website creation capabilities — from drag-and-drop interfaces to styling systems to AI-powered content tools.

• Shape the user experience for key areas like global styling, content creation, page and block management, or the editor's core UI/UX.

• Translate qualitative insights and quantitative data into a design strategy that elevates both user delight and business value.

• Deepen our product's “Design Intelligence” by embedding automation, AI, and curation into the editing workflow.

• Partner with product management, engineering, data, research, and marketing to deliver best-in-class user experiences that help users go from blank page to fully branded website.

• Influence company-wide initiatives that rely on or extend the core website editor platform.

• Contribute to group-level OKRs and support cross-functional planning across the broader Product organization.

Who We're Looking For

• 4–6 years of product design experience building consumer-facing SaaS or design tools.

• Experience shipping complex user experiences in web platforms, design systems, or rich content creation environments.

• Strong product discovery skills and ability to independently shape strategic bets with ambiguous input.

• Excellent communication skills; able to align diverse stakeholders around a compelling vision and drive measurable outcomes.

• Passion for elegant UX, expressive design, and empowering non-technical users through software.

• Familiarity with front-end technologies, rendering pipelines, or design tools (e.g., Figma, Canva, PowerPoint, etc.).

• Experience working with or on platforms that support extensibility and collaboration across multiple teams.
