Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a Senior Product Designer to join our talented team at AHOY. In this role, you will take a lead in designing and refining our product experiences, merging user research, strategic vision, and design principles. You will be responsible for driving the design process from conception to execution, ensuring that our products not only meet business goals but are also delightful for users to interact with. Requirements:
• Lead the design process for new and existing products, ensuring a user-centered approach.
• Conduct user research, gather insights, and analyze user feedback to inform design decisions.
• Create user journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align with user needs and company objectives.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Ensure designs align with industry best practices and maintain a cohesive brand identity.
• Iterate designs based on testing results and user feedback to enhance product usability and engagement.
• Stay updated on the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to drive innovation within the team.
• Communicate design concepts and rationale clearly to team members and stakeholders during presentations.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a culture of design excellence.
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives and contribute to the overall design strategy of the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in product design, preferably in a technology-focused environment.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in product design and user-centered methodologies.
• Proficient in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of usability principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex systems and user needs.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in leading design projects and mentoring team members is desirable.
• Familiarity with front-end development tools and technologies is a plus.
