A Day in the Life
We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer, a true hands-on engineer who can bring a system-level perspective, to join our Process Development team. In this role, you will lead the development, optimization, and scale-up of manufacturing processes, partnering closely with R&D, Quality, and Operations, go Gemba, to deliver robust, compliant and effective solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a continuous improvement mindset, and experience supporting products from early development through commercialization in a regulated environment.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
• Lead process development, technology transfer, and validation activities in compliance with regulatory and quality requirements
• Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to ensure robust and manufacturable process development
• Develop and execute process experiments (DOE), analyze data, and apply statistical methods to improve capability and yield
• Identify and implement continuous improvement, cost reduction, and risk mitigation initiatives
• Author and review technical documentation, including process specifications, protocols and reports
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, technicians and operators
• Support investigations, root cause analysis, and resolution of process-related issues
Required Knowledge and Experience
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing process development, characterization, and scale-up in a regulated environment. Application drive, pragmatic engineering background
• Hands-on experience with process validation methodologies (IQ/OQ/PQ) and technology transfer
• Solid understanding of Design for Manufacturing and Reliability (DRM) and risk management tools (e.g., FMEA). Experience with root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methods
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and data-driven decision making (DOE, SPC, capability analysis)
• Working knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA QSR, ISO 13485)
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and process requirements
• Strong cross-functional communication and technical leadership skills
• Strong know-how on materials engineering, materials science and capability to connect chemical, mechanical, and electrochemical phenomena to industry applications
