To support delivery to our growing client base, we are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Senior Power BI Consultants to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career, as you will be given every opportunity to learn and develop. We are always looking for our next generation of principal consultants and will support you to take that step! In the role, you will have opportunities to work with peers to build the best solutions possible on the Microsoft platform. You will be challenged daily to leverage your expertise and will be given opportunities to hone your skills on interesting projects. While the role is heavily focused on Power BI, skills within Azure or Power Platforms are also highly desirable. Software Engineering experience will be highly regarded.
Essential Skills: :
• Experience in a technical consulting role.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in Power BI.
• Ability to partner, negotiate and manage expectations with clients.
• Develop complex, best practice Power BI reports and dashboards to a high standard.
• Highly competent with DAX and Power Query.
• Able to model data and build data sets.
• Experience with calculation groups and Tabular editor.
• Demonstrated experience with Power BI Pagination, Visualisation and Design concepts, as well as Administration, Governance and Security.
• Experience with the Power BI service, including workspaces, apps and user access.
• Demonstrated ability to work to a deadline and manage priorities.
• Excellence in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in written form.
• Strong time management skills, able to balance competing priorities and escalate when required.
• Ability to work remotely via Microsoft Teams.
• Ability to use productivity tools such as Office, Copilot, GitHub, etc.
• Aptitude for critical and analytical thinking, as well as the capacity to leverage out-of-the-box solutions.
• Keen for a fast-paced environment with opportunities to learn, grow, and be exposed to a variety of problems, clients, and technologies.
• UI/UX experience/studies desirable (not essential).
• Graphic Design experience/studies desirable (not essential).
• You may be asked to show us a portfolio of your work.
Advantageous Power Platform and Azure :
• Demonstrated experience with Power Apps, Power BI, or Power Automate.
• Build Canvas Power Apps and Model-Driven Power Apps.
• Design & implement Dataverse databases within the Power Platform.
• Build Flows & Robotic Process Automations (RPA) within Power Automate.
• Build external-facing portals using Power Portals.
• Testing work against the requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Experience with Azure SQL Databases, virtual machines, and Data Factory.
• T-SQL experience, developing solutions within SQL databases, including views, procedures, creating jobs and execution plan optimisation.
