Senior Platform Engineer - Data Storage

As a Senior Platform Engineer at Brevo, you are a systems architect who treats infrastructure as software. Your goal is to build a resilient, self-service data platform that allows our engineering teams to ship faster without worrying about the underlying storage complexities. You will bridge the gap between deep Linux internals and high-level automation.

Your Impact at Brevo::
• Platform Orchestration: Architect and automate the lifecycle of our data-storage ecosystem (SQL, NoSQL, Object, and File) using Terraform and Ansible.
• Performance Engineering: Go beyond standard setups. Tune kernels, optimise parameters, and deep-dive into PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ClickHouse, and ScyllaDB to squeeze out every millisecond of performance.
• Resilience & Durability: Own the "Worst Case Scenario." Design and enforce bulletproof backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies that ensure zero data loss.
• Observability & SRE: Implement deep telemetry. Define and defend SLOs/SLAs and manage error budgets to ensure platform reliability.
• Product Mindset: Treat the platform as a product. Build APIs and self-service workflows that empower developers to provision storage as easily as pushing code.
• Root Cause Analysis: Lead the charge during complex production incidents. Perform deep-dive RCAs to implement systemic fixes rather than just applying patches.

Who you are: :
• Total Experience: You have a total and relevant experience between 6-9 Years.
• The Linux Specialist: You have a deep-seated love for Linux systems engineering and understand how mission-critical services behave at scale.
• The Polyglot DBA: You are comfortable across multiple data paradigms, whether it’s relational (Postgres), NoSQL (Mongo/Scylla), or Object Storage (MinIO/S3).
• Automation First: If you have to do it twice, you automate it. You are proficient in Bash, Python, or Go, and you have built scalable automation frameworks from the ground up.
• SRE Practitioner: You live by SRE principles. You understand that "hope is not a strategy" and rely on metrics, postmortems, and observability to drive engineering decisions.
• Distributed Systems Enthusiast: You understand the nuances of replication lag, CAP theorem trade-offs, and distributed consensus.
