We’re seeking an experienced DV Cleared Senior Planner to join our team for a 12‑month assignment, supporting high‑profile and complex programmes through independent assurance reviews.

⚠️ Important Clearance & Eligibility Notes:

• Developed Vetting (DV) Clearance is essential.
• SC‑cleared candidates will only be considered if they are already in the DV vetting process.

🔍 About the Role

As a Senior Planner you will conduct independent planning and scheduling assurance reviews across a range of significant projects, programmes, and portfolios.

You’ll challenge constructively, provide evidence‑based recommendations, and contribute to improving delivery confidence across the organisation.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

You will be accountable for delivering independent assurance from a Planning & Scheduling perspective, including:

Expected Tasks

• Attend all relevant meetings related to assigned assurance reviews
• Join weekly tasking sessions with Assurance Management
• Review project documentation and assess compliance against defined standards
• Develop and agree recommendations and actions with project, programme, or portfolio teams

Expected Deliverables

• Contributions to the Assurance Assessment Spreadsheet
• Input into the Assurance Report

🎯 Required Experience & Skills (Mandatory)

We’re looking for someone who brings senior‑level expertise, including:

• 5+ years’ experience delivering within complex or high‑value projects or programmes
• Strong background conducting independent reviews
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 (building, analysing, and assessing schedules)
• Ability to deliver challenging messages to senior leadership
• Evidence‑based performance/assurance recommendations
• Clear, concise, and structured report writing

✨ Desirable Experience

Not essential, but advantageous:

• Background in nuclear and/or defence environments
• Experience working under nuclear regulatory frameworks
• 10+ years in relevant planning or assurance roles
• Prior work with government agencies or departments

📍 Location & Working Pattern

• Full‑time, based onsite at Aldermaston
• Hybrid working – typically 2 days onsite per week, though this may increase depending on classification levels (e.g., OFFICIAL‑SENSITIVE and above)
• Occasional visits to Burghfield for meetings or site activities
• 9‑day fortnight in line with standard working patterns
• All documentation must be accessed and compiled solely on the Client IT systems
