We’re looking for a Senior picker - Fixed term to join our Hop (Grocery) team. In this role, you will be the beating heart of our daily on-site operations, working closely with the management team to maximise customer satisfaction and ensure the smooth running of our dark store sites.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining the Hop Operations team. You will be responsible for ensuring that all of our loyal customers receive their basic necessities as quickly as possible through flawless execution of on-site processes.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

• Order Supervision: Oversee the picking process to ensure all customer orders are collected and prepared on time.

• Site Management: Manage the daily opening and closing procedures of the store to maintain operational readiness.

• Rider Coordination: Communicate effectively with our riders to ensure delivery handovers are prompt and efficient.

• Shipping & Packaging: Manage the shipping area and provide hands-on support for the packaging of orders.

• Inbound Logistics: Process incoming deliveries according to procedure, ensuring product placement accuracy and strict date rotation (FIFO).

• Inventory Accuracy: Ensure that inventory counts are precise and that all warehouse areas are accounted for.

• Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, tidy, and hazard-free warehouse environment, addressing any risks immediately.

• Management Collaboration: Work closely with the Assistant Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Manager to optimise site performance.

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:

• Language Skills: Fluent Italian is mandatory; basic English is a significant advantage.

• Target Driven: Proven experience in achieving operational targets and KPIs in a fast-paced environment.

• Operational Flexibility: Willingness to work 40-hour shifts per week with hourly flexibility to support site needs.

• Sector Experience: Previous experience in a similar warehouse, retail, or logistics environment is preferred.

• Team Spirit: A collaborative approach and the ability to communicate clearly with riders and site staff.
