About the role
This is a senior backend development role focused on PHP and Laravel. As a Senior PHP Laravel Developer, you’ll collaborate with the engineering team to deliver projects, troubleshoot and resolve issues in PHP applications, and design new features and greenfield systems.

To thrive, you’ll bring diligence, a can-do attitude, and a habit of asking clarifying questions to fully understand requirements and edge cases.

In your first 90 days, you’ll focus on getting settled into the team, starting project work, and successfully completing smaller projects end-to-end. (Skills you’ll use: PHP/Laravel, REST APIs, Git, collaborative workflows.)

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the engineering team to complete backend projects using PHP and Laravel
• Troubleshoot and fix issues in PHP applications; identify root causes and verify fixes
• Design and implement greenfield systems with Laravel, writing clean and maintainable code
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations
• Use Git effectively (branching, pull requests, reviews) to support collaborative workflows

Requirements :
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
• 4+ years of professional experience in software development
• PHP & Laravel: 3+ years building production applications
• Working understanding of REST APIs, including design, debugging, and integration
• Proficiency with Git version control in collaborative development environments

Nice to have:
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js preferred)
• Strong object-oriented programming (OOP) practices
• E-commerce development experience (carts, payments, catalogs, operational flows)
• Prior project leadership experience
