Senior PHP Back-End Developer

YOUR ROLE::
• As a Senior PHP Back-End Developer at our company, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the backbone of our innovative Software as a Service (SaaS) products. You'll be at the forefront of developing robust, scalable RESTful API backends, leveraging the latest in PHP technologies to ensure seamless data interchange and service functionality. Working closely with our dynamic team of developers and product managers, you'll contribute to the entire development lifecycle - from conceptualization to deployment. Your expertise will help us deliver solutions that exceed our users' expectations in speed and reliability. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES::
• Developing and maintaining high-quality applications by consistently applying best practices and established design patterns to ensure robust and scalable PHP applications;
• Writing clean, testable code;
• Working closely with other members of SiteGround like Product Managers, FrontEnd Developers, QAs, DevOps Engineers;
• Constantly challenging and expanding your knowledge of reliable software architecture, programming and new technologies;
• Exchanging your knowledge with other developers and being part of a team of proven professionals;
• Actively participate in code reviews.

OUR EXPECTATIONS::
• PHP ^8.0;
• Experience in the development of web applications;
• Good experience in the OOP paradigm;
• Experience with Symfony or other PHP frameworks;
• Relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL or other);
• Profound understanding of the HTTP protocol;
• Solid grasp of RESTful API design and development standards;
• Knowledge of SOLID principles;
• Knowledge of Design Patterns;
• Experience with Git;
• Experience with PHPUnit.

GREAT ADVANTAGE WILL BE::
• Experience with API Platform;
• Experience with job/message queues (e.g. Kafka, Redis Queue, RabbitMQ);
• Experience in Linux-based OS;
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker);
• Experience with Websockets;
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions;
• Experience in HTML5, CSS3;
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP);
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Backbone, JQuery);
• Good command of English;
• Professional certification;
• A university degree in the IT sector.
