Role Overview
We are seeking a highly proactive and commercially driven Senior Payments & Banking Officer to take full ownership of global payment and banking infrastructure across key regions.
This is a hands-on leadership role focused on building, optimizing, and safeguarding robust PSP and banking relationships to ensure maximum deposit and withdrawal performance, operational redundancy, liquidity efficiency, and business continuity across international markets.
The ideal candidate is a strategic problem-solver with a strong ownership mindset, capable of managing both PSP ecosystems and banking partnerships within complex, high-risk, and cross-border environments.
What This Role Is Really About
This position requires end-to-end ownership of payment performance and banking coverage across multiple regions.
You will be expected to:
Proactively identify gaps in payment and banking infrastructure
Build and maintain strong PSP and banking relationships globally
Ensure operational continuity across payment rails and banking channels
React quickly and effectively to disruptions affecting payment processing or banking operations
Support the company’s global expansion through scalable payment and banking solutions
Key Functions:
Global PSP & Banking Strategy
Analyse and optimize existing payment and banking infrastructure across regions including Asia, LATAM, MENA, Africa, and Europe
Develop and maintain a scalable global coverage roadmap for PSPs, banking partners, acquirers, and local payment methods
Ensure each key market has reliable, compliant, and redundant payment and banking solutions
Manage relationships with banks, EMIs, payment institutions, and financial partners
Support the opening, maintenance, and optimization of corporate banking and merchant accounts
Take full ownership of payment and banking performance across assigned region
PSP, Banking & Provider Management
Source and onboard new PSPs, acquirers, banks, EMIs, APMs, and local payment providers
Lead due diligence processes, commercial negotiations, and provider selection
Coordinate onboarding and integration processes with internal and external stakeholders
Maintain strong relationships with banking partners to ensure operational stability and support
Stay informed on global banking regulations, payment trends, compliance developments, and emerging technologies
Crisis Management & Business Continuity
Take immediate ownership during PSP disruptions, banking issues, account freezes, settlement delays, or regulatory challenges
Act with urgency to restore payment flows and protect operational continuity
Implement backup banking and payment solutions when required
Ensure proper contingency planning and redundancy across providers and banking partners
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
Monitor and analyse:
Transaction approval and success rates
Deposit and withdrawal performance
Banking efficiency and settlement timelines
PSP and banking costs, including fees and FX exposure
Optimize provider routing, settlement flows, and banking structures
Drive initiatives to improve conversion, reduce friction, and support revenue growth
Ensure payment and banking operations align with business scalability and client experience
Core Competencies and Required Background:
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in payments, banking operations, treasury, PSP management, or financial operations.
Experience within:
Forex / CFD / high-risk industries
Fintech or global online payment environments
Strong understanding of:
PSP ecosystems and banking infrastructure
Cross-border payments and international banking operations
EMIs, safeguarding structures, settlements, and liquidity management
High-risk merchant environments and operational challenges
Proven ability to:
Build PSP and banking coverage across multiple regions
Manage banking relationships and payment continuity
Handle operational disruptions, compliance challenges, and provider escalations
Experience working with:
Banking partners and financial institutions
Technical integration teams and APIs
Commercial negotiations and performance analytics
