Senior Operations Coordinator

We are currently seeking a suitably qualified person to fill a vacancy within the Aviation division, based at Lanseria International Airport.

The main objective of the position is to ensure efficient, dependable co-ordination and implementation of all flight details on a 24-hour basis and to supervise the Dispatch department.

Key responsibilities

Co-ordinate flights accordingly and ensure ongoing communication with the account manager

Maintain positive communication on all dispatched aircraft

Obtain all relevant post flight details and documents accordingly

Safety and quality assurance

Prepare an Operational Flight Plan (OFP) for the route / routes to be flown using current and latest figures to ensure an accurate flight plan

Responsible for ensuring cost-effective, safe and legal route planning and to ensure that the aircraft and flight crew are ready to depart at the published scheduled time

Ensure effective and efficient customer service to all clients

Assist with ad hoc duties as assigned by the relevant manager

Educational

Grade 12

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Flight dispatch / FOO course

Driver’s License

Dangerous Goods

Private Pilot’s License (optional)

Experience

3 – 4 Years’ experience as Flight Operations and/or Flight Following Officer
