Senior O&M Readiness Engineer

Why this role matters

To reinforce the Operations & Maintenance team in Ostend (+35 FTE’s), we are looking for a Senior O&M Readiness Engineer. Within the team, you will take up a critical role to define and improve the wider O&M strategies and organizational models on our operational and future offshore wind farm projects and make the organization ready to implement and perfect them.

In this role you will:

Together with the O&M Team members you are responsible to:

• Define O&M strategies and targets as to allow JERA Nex bp to implement the most efficient O&M set-up in new projects in the 3 to 5 years horizon.

• Trigger O&M strategy & improvement proposals to ensure the sustainability and durability of the current assets and projects, advising technical solutions towards the O&M colleagues as well as the wider JERA Nex bp organization.

• Support our business development Team and tender projects with technical & commercial analysis to point them in the right direction given the developing O&M Support market as well as local needs and constraints.

• Be an active partner in discussions with the O&M supply chain starting from market contact to final contract.

• Assist in JERA Nex bp`s mission to grow by cooperating in current and new R&D projects to determine how they can be translated to the business model of the O&M organization. Take the lead in detecting new opportunities, assure careful recommendation of viable projects to the management and where relevant bring them to implementation.

• Find insights in the success and fail factors of the specific strategy factors in order to determine the risk profile for JERA Nex bp.

• Be an active partner in the internal educational and knowledge sharing process.

• Identify possible collaborations and partnerships in view of the longer-term growth of JERA Nex bp. Assist with the careful analysis of such partnerships and assure successful implementation of chosen initiatives.

Flexibility (in both ways) will be a part of your function; you will need to maintain your trainings and competencies to occasionally work offshore. Travel in Belgium but also abroad will be expected in support of your tasks. You will be embedded in the O&M Readiness team under the responsibility of the O&M Readiness Manager.
