Your mission:
As a member of the Network Engineering team for Rivada’s global network you will strengthen our team as a Network Architect for the planning and design of Rivada’s global network. This is an opportunity to work on a world-first network architecture that combines a space-based, meshed laser network with high performance radio links to the user terminals on ground. Working with latest protocols (e.g. SRv6) you will ensure that the system is fulfilling all the constraints of operating a global satellite communication system today, and is also ready for future extensions.
This includes:• Design of system-level network architectures for MEF-based services produced by Multilayer-MPLS adapted to the dynamics of a network flying in space
• Network simulations and prototyping
• Documentation of requirements and interfaces
• Interworking with engineering teams for other system domains
• Support of network technology supplier selection
• Technical steering of development activities
• System verification and test support
• Support network deployment and activation
• Support network operations
• Support the development of operations scenarios
• Support analysis and reports of service performance and service assurance
• Troubleshooting support


What you bring on the table:
• A degree in telecommunication, electrical engineering or computer science
• At least 5 years of experience working in a telecoms environment, at least 2 years working with MPLS networks
• Networking knowledge
• L2VPN and L3VPN with MPLS and SRv6 encapsulation, EVPN and VPNv4/6
• Segment Routing TE (MPLS and SRv6)
• Routing protocols: IS-IS, BGP
• Experience with Network Simulation tools (i.e. containerlab)
• Experience with packet analysis tools
• Certifications desirable: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, MEF-CECP
• Fluency in English language

Additional desirable skills• Experience from Carrier Service providers
• Experience with Satcom operators or Satcom suppliers
• Knowledge of network termination equipment
• Design of management networks
• Network operations experience
• Process/Workflow definition
