JOB SCOPE:
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, design, implement, and provide ongoing support of network systems of high complexity in Internet environments to fulfill business needs for performance and cost benefits
• Serve as a technical lead for hardware installation, configuration, and operational support of these networks’ routers and switches
• Provide highest level of technical consultancy to ensure problem resolution is achieved in the shortest possible timeframe
• Development of processes and procedures for use by the Network team and third parties in the management of network environments
• Develop and position solutions and build plans to effectively gain buy-in from all participants
• Develop and streamline processes to further improve delivery of Global Network and Telecommunication services
• Provide recommendations to management team to increase effectiveness of organization and technology solutions
QUALIFICATIONS:
• At least 7 years of experience in a Sr. Network Engineering role
• Expertise on IP Technologies and extensive knowledge of WAN technologies
• Extensive experience and expertise on IP routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP
• Expert engineering knowledge of load balancing / traffic management technology including F5 Big-IP/Viprion for LTM/GTM
• Expert engineering knowledge of WAN optimization technology, including Riverbed Steelhead, to optimize application traffic across the WAN links
• Advanced understanding of TCP/IP network protocols, including common application protocols
• This position will need to be able to communicate and work effectively with implementation teams, customer relations, and internal/external customers to engineer solutions to meet the needs of all stakeholders
• Advanced process orientation and exhibited planning, organizational, and problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and leadership skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal in English) skills
• The ability to support network operations in an on-call fashion is a requirement
