Senior Network Engineer

Optimiza is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead and enhance our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of networking technologies and protocols, combined with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex network environments. This role will be crucial in ensuring optimal network performance and security for our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage network solutions, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network needs and deliver suitable solutions.
• Implement network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Document network configurations, processes, and operational guidelines.
• Conduct regular network assessments to identify areas for improvement and optimize network efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior network engineers.
• Stay updated on emerging network technologies and industry trends, making recommendations for upgrades and improvements.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, MPLS).
• Experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, access points) and network management tools.
• Proficiency in network security best practices and technologies.
• Hands-on experience with configuring and managing Cisco or other enterprise network devices.
• Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CISSP, JNCIP) are preferred.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
