Senior Municipal Engineer (26028)

You’re a collaborative and detail-oriented Civil Engineer who enjoys tackling complex infrastructure challenges and seeing projects come to life. You take initiative, communicate effectively, and thrive in a team environment where you can balance technical design with hands-on project delivery. 

A typical day on the job might look like:

Supporting all GEMTEC locations across Atlantic Canada, including travelling as needed.

Preparing engineering drawings, technical reports, specifications, and tender documents. 

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, cost-effective design solutions.  

Reviewing drawings and designs to ensure accuracy, compliance and constructability. 

Supporting construction administration activities, including site inspections and responding to contractor’s inquiries.  

Utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce and review detailed civil design plans. 

Communicating with clients, municipalities, and other stakeholders to keep projects on track and aligned with expectations.  

Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff as needed.  

Office-based design/project management with Site Visits to projects as required.

Your background and what you bring:

Registered or eligible for registration with APEGNB. 

Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering from an accredited University.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering consulting, including municipal and infrastructure design. 

Proven experience in project management, including budget, schedule, and client coordination.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Bilingual in French and English.

Valid driver’s license and have access to a personal vehicle for work related travel
