Senior MuleSoft Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior MuleSoft Developer to help design, build, and scale our enterprise integration platform. This role will be instrumental in developing high-quality APIs and integrations using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, enabling secure and scalable connectivity across cloud and on-premise systems.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in API-led connectivity, enterprise integration patterns, and modern cloud architectures, along with strong collaboration skills to partner with engineering, architecture, and product teams.

What you'll be doing

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs and integrations using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform

• Implement API-led connectivity architecture, including System, Process, and Experience APIs

• Build reusable integration assets and frameworks to accelerate development and promote consistency

• Develop integrations connecting SaaS, cloud, and on-premise systems such as CRM, ERP, data platforms, and third-party services

• Ensure APIs follow best practices for security, scalability, monitoring, and governance

• Implement robust error handling, logging, and performance optimization strategies

• Publish and manage APIs using API Manager and Anypoint Exchange

• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to define integration patterns and standards

• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments for MuleSoft applications

• Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support for integration services

• Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and mentoring junior developers

What you should have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• 6+ years of integration development experience, including 4+ years working with MuleSoft

• MuleSoft Certified Developer (MCD Level 1 or Level 2)

• Strong expertise in DataWeave 2.x, Java, and API development using Mule 4

• Experience building integrations using REST and SOAP services, with strong knowledge of XML and JSON data formats

• Experience designing and implementing APIs using RAML or OpenAPI Specification (OAS)

• Hands-on experience with tools such as Anypoint Studio, API Manager, and Anypoint Exchange

• Strong understanding of API-led connectivity architecture, including System, Process, and Experience APIs

• Experience implementing event-driven integrations using messaging and streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka, JMS, or other event brokers

• Experience integrating enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Oracle Fusion, Workday, or similar systems

• Knowledge of API security standards such as OAuth, JWT, and policy enforcement

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and DevOps practices

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise integration architectures

• Experience with event-driven architecture, messaging systems, or streaming platforms

• Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments

Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma counties). Relocation assistance may be available.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $192,000 to $216,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity, or benefits.
