Senior Mobile Developer (Android - Kotlin Native) - Tieto Caretech (m/f/d)

About the role

Experience Required: 4 to 6 years

Native Android developer with 4+ years of experience in Kotlin-based application development. Exposure to multi-module architecture, Jetpack Compose, and secure authentication mechanisms is a plus.

In this role you will

You will be responsible for holistic mobile feature development including requirement understanding, design, coding, testing, and maintenance of secure, scalable Android applications.

You will work on Play Store, App Store (IOS) and enterprise (MDM-managed) apps, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to CI/CD-driven release pipelines in an Agile environment.

We are looking for someone with

• Strong hands-on experience in native Android development using Kotlin
• Solid knowledge of Android SDK & Jetpack (ViewModel, Room, Navigation, WorkManager, Jetpack Compose)
• Experience with MVVM / Clean Architecture and clean coding practices
• Hands-on experience with REST API integration and JSON
• Experience with local storage (Room, DataStore, SharedPreferences)
• Good understanding of authentication mechanisms
• Exposure to enterprise mobility / MDM solutions
• Hands-on experience with Git
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred)
• Good understanding of unit testing, debugging, and code quality practices
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams

It would be beneficial if you also

• Exposure to iOS development (Swift / SwiftUI)
• Experience with Kotlin Coroutines & Flow
• Backend integration experience with .NET Web APIs
• Knowledge of Firebase / Push Notifications
• Any exposure to SQL / NoSQL databases
• Experience with multi-module Android projects
