Senior Mobile Apps Developer

Job purpose

Mobile applications development is an exciting area of growth. You will be responsible for

leading and overseeing these projects. Your primary role is to lead on the creation,

development, testing, maintenance, and implementation of the source code of mobile

applications and mobile platform programmes that meet the needs and requirements of

end-to-end solution.

In this role, you will work closely with end clients on both generic projects and projects that

are bespoke to clients’ needs. You will communicate with these users to understand their

needs and experiences

Key tasks and responsibilities

You will

Research:

• Research latest trends, ideas and concepts and design, implement and manage the

company’s mobilea apps using React Native, React Java Script and Java Libraries.

• Recommend tools, libraries, open source modules, 3rd party services and plugins to

optimise themobile app development process.

• Remain up to date with the terminology, concepts and best practices for coding mobile

apps ands suggest and implement new mobile products, features, applications and protocol.

Collaborate:

• Interact with client personnel to solidify requirements and review accomplishments.

• Participate in project daily stand ups, using the issue and project tracking software, JIRA.

• Work closely with other developers, testers, business and systems analysts and operations

teams to constantly innovate app functionality and design.

• Make fundamental and strategic contributions to mobile apps design.

• Work closely with junior staff and any third parties to manage and coordinate projects and

code review and validate their work.

• Resolve any business problems across different departments as they relate to mobile

applications.

• With the testing team, conduct user acceptance testing, to ensure the program can be used

easily, quickly and accurately.

Technical:

• Design and build the next generation of mobile applications.

• Drive innovation and stay ahead of the curve with new technologies and out of the box

thinking.

• Become the mobile apps technical leader for the company but also get your ‘hands dirty’ in

development of the apps projects.

• Integrate tools, plugins and 3rd party SaaS services to optimise the development process.

• Investigate, test and evaluate existing and new programs and identify areas for

improvement and modification (write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions).

• Work with React Native, React Java Script and Java Libraries.

• Lead on training junior staff.

• Play a part in training for clients.

• Develop APIs to support mobile functionality, by writing reusable, testable and efficient

code.

• Use and adapt existing web applications for apps.

• Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.

• Integrate user-facing elements into mobile apps that are developed by front-end developers

with server-side logic.

• Implement security and data protection on mobile apps.

• Integrate data storage solutions on mobile apps.

• Contribute to the documenting of the code and application on Git and JIRA for both

technical and non-technical audiences.

• Create UI tests to source analytics.

• Update, repair, modify and develop existing software and generic applications

• Implement pixel perfect UI's that match designs.

• Implement clean, modern, smooth animations and transitions that provide an excellent user

experience.

• Release applications to the Apple and Google Play stores.

Requirements:
• Have about 5-7 years in Mobile Developer in using, Flutter, React Native, React Java Script and Java Libraries
• Technical expertise in UI and UX testing
• Excellent leadership skills
• Open to Malaysian only
