Due to the continued success and expansion of our Data Centre business, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Lead Cost Manager to join our Data Centre team in Lisbon. 

With a market leading client base and the opportunity to take the lead on strategic commissions and high-profile projects, this is an exciting time to join the business unit and grow a career with Turner & Townsend.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary cost management liaison with client and other project stakeholders
• Responsibility for pre and post-contract duties including preparation of cost estimates, procurement and tendering, contract administration, variation, final account, etc.
• Completing feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
• Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan
• Tendering and procurement activity, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, preliminaries, tender analysis, tender report and compiling the contractual documents
• Taking responsibility for timely and accurate cost checks and valuations
• Producing monthly post contract cost reports and presenting them to the client
• Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
• Participate effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes
• Perform cost risk analysis and provide input into value engineering; negotiate and approve final accounts
• Maintain central feedback and learning on cost estimating from prospects and projects and contribute to updating of best practices in estimating

• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated +7 years of experience leading cost management activities on medium to large Data Centre projects with medium to high complexity.
• Solid exposure to MEP and CSA packages.
• Skilled in advising clients on value management, value engineering, and life‑cycle costing.
• Solid understanding of key technical aspects of the construction industry, including various procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and overall communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities, with the capacity to multitask and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
