About the Role

1. Planning Excellence & Delivery Ownership

We are searching for a strong Senior Media Planning Director to join the Korea team, supporting one of the world’s largest global tech companies and future clients.

This role is responsible for overseeing all media proposals and planning deliverables across channels, ensuring accountability throughout the end-to-end planning process. This includes developing tactical plans to achieve campaign performance and conducting post-campaign reporting to derive actionable insights.

The role requires strong ownership in evaluating the efficiency of workstreams and processes, continuously identifying opportunities for improvement. In addition, the position involves managing regional planning workstreams in close collaboration with hub leaders and other markets. Establishing and maintaining high-quality standards for planning deliverables, as well as demonstrating continuous improvement, is essential.

2. Team Leadership & Client Partnership

In partnership with senior leadership, this role will lead and manage a team of digital media planners, ensuring effective resource allocation and team utilization. Acting as a key escalation point for team-related issues, the role requires strong capability in capacity planning and resource management.

A strong focus on team development, coaching, and Performance Development Review is critical, particularly for managers and executives, to support career growth and maintain a low turnover rate.

As a senior point of contact for clients, this role requires active participation in key milestone meetings, providing thought leadership, and demonstrating expertise in media trends, innovations, and emerging vendors. The role also includes hands-on involvement in onboarding new clients and participating in 1:1 client engagements when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior leadership on planning KPIs, improvements, and key projects

• Support regional planning workstreams, deliverables, stakeholder reporting, and presentations

• Stay closely connected with planning teams and proactively share project status and challenges with relevant stakeholders

• Ensure adherence to established planning processes and drive continuous improvement to maintain high-quality standards

• Manage team utilization, resourcing, efficiency, and task allocation

• Mentor and develop team members, with strong emphasis on career development and retention

• Support planning teams in addressing client challenges and act as a senior point of contact when required

• Stay up to date with industry trends, maintaining a strong point of view on partners and emerging vendors

About You

• 10+ years of experience, preferably in an agency environment, with a strong understanding of the Korean media landscape

• Experience working with large international clients is a plus

• Comfortable using English in a professional work environment

• Strong knowledge of social platforms and Google Marketing Stack, including programmatic media

• Proven track record of leading high-profile, end-to-end media planning processes

• Passion for people development and team leadership

• Excellent written communication, presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills

• Ability to make decisions and resolve problems quickly and effectively

• Strong interest in data and up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments
