Senior Mechanical Engineer – Composite Structure

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in composite structural design to support the development, analysis, and production of advanced composite structures. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on engineering experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete the design, analysis, and recurring engineering support for composite structure manufacturing.

• Troubleshoot and investigate anomalies and failures, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve composite structure non-conformances.

• Develop structural configurations, testing requirements, materials, processes, and tooling.

• Create and maintain mechanical/structural design documentation, manufacturing drawings, and detailed CAD models.

• Prepare and present technical information for design and readiness reviews with management and peers.

• Collaborate closely with manufacturing/production teams to ensure effective transfer of information and documentation of processes.

• Evaluate, recommend, and champion new technologies and methods to enhance performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design, integration, and testing of composite structures.

• Strong technical expertise in composite structural design and design for manufacturability.

• CAD program experience required (Autodesk Inventor preferred; NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, and CREO also considered).

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in aerospace or space composite structural design and analysis.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy of documentation and project deliverables.

Technology Stack:

• CAD Tools: NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO.

• Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

• Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
