Job Description
Reporting to the Engineering Lead, we are actively looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer. This position will design our Paper Systems Products and provide technical leadership at Mantech. This will include managing on-time delivery of Paper Systems products, interfacing with paper mill customers, and developing technical solutions to support the shop and customer projects.
This is a growth-oriented position and we are looking to improve and establish procedures, structure, and best-practices.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Design Paper Systems Threading Equipment.
Lead technical reviews internally and with customers.
Develop new and improve existing SOPs.
Project manage from conception through to customer installation.
Create, review, and document technical documentation and be a subject matter expert (SME) for technical questions.
Provide design support for Sales and Operations team.
Support, execute, and expand upon management initiatives.
Required Skills:
7+ years of mechanical product design experience.
Previous Solidworks use for design required.
Industrial design for paper mill or similar environment.
Repeatable and manufacturable design experience required.
Broad knowledge of manufacturing techniques an asset.
ERP usage for Engineering and manufacturing required. ProShop ERP experience is an asset.
Able to use Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and soft skills.
Strong organizational, planning, and scheduling skills.
Adaptable in rapidly-changing environments.
Creative approach to problem-solving in both design and manufacturing problems.
