POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer - HVAC Systems to join our Engineering & Sales team. This role plays a critical part in supporting the design, layout, and technical development of custom air handling equipment. The ideal candidate brings strong HVAC design experience, advanced AutoCAD skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with Sales Engineers, Designers, and Mechanical Contractors. Accuracy, technical competency, and strong communication are essential to success in this role.
WORK SCHEDULE
Monday to Friday, Day Shift
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Designers to develop accurate design models for custom air handling equipment
Interpret engineering specifications, ASHRAE standards, and project requirements to produce compliant designs
Prepare accurate quotes and bids for Mechanical and HVAC contractors
Manage project files, ensuring complete and accurate documentation from initial design through final as-built packages
Produce detailed equipment submittal data and ensure timely communication with internal and external stakeholders
Apply knowledge of fan/ blower applications, motor calculations, and mechanical selections to support design accuracy
Incorporate A2L refrigerant and heat pump operation considerations into design work
Perform weight calculations, sound data analysis, and other HVAC-related engineering processes
Provide customer support as required throughout the project lifecycle
Participate in conferences, product expos, and client education sessions as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational & Experience Requirements
Minimum 5 years of HVAC experience with equipment design and layout models
AutoCAD User Level II required; Level III preferred, with ability to work in 3‑D model space
In-depth knowledge of custom air handling unit manufacturing
2+ years of experience in customer support or customer service
Technical Skills
Strong working knowledge of:
Electric motor-driven fan and blower applications
ASHRAE design standards
Motor calculations and mechanical selections
A2L refrigerant and heat pump operation
Weight and sound data calculations
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PDF editors, and related tools
Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications accurately
Additional Requirements

Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
