Role Objective
Assist in corporate strategy, performance management, and investor communication for a growing housing finance company (HFC) and non-banking financial company (NBFC). This role emphasizes analytics-oriented strategy implementation, fundraising support, and structured engagement with investors, lenders, and credit rating agencies.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Business Planning
• Facilitate medium- and long-term strategic planning that aligns with growth, profitability, and risk management.
• Assist in the formulation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) encompassing business operations, capital allocation, and workforce planning.
• Monitor strategic initiatives (including products, geographical expansion, partnerships, and mergers & acquisitions) against established milestones.
• Perform market and peer benchmarking; prepare strategic notes and presentations for the Board.
Performance & Financial Analytics
• Evaluate performance across products and regions, providing explanations for variances compared to the plan.
• Develop scenario, sensitivity, and stress analyses focused on growth, margins, credit costs, and capital management.
• Collaborate with the Finance and Business teams to ensure comprehensive management information systems (MIS) and analytics are in place.
Investor Relations & Fund Raising
• Create investor presentations, earnings presentations, factsheets, and frequently asked questions (FAQs).
• Facilitate engagement with equity investors, private equity funds, lenders, and debenture holders.
• Support equity and debt fundraising initiatives through information memorandums, data rooms, and management presentations.
Rating Agencies, Board & External Interfaces
• Oversee interactions with credit rating agencies and monitor sensitivities and covenants related to ratings.
• Assist in the preparation of materials for Board and Committee presentations as well as in responding to stakeholder inquiries.
• Coordinate with bankers, advisors, and consultants regarding strategic and capital issues.
Key Skills & Competencies
• In-depth understanding of Housing Finance Company (HFC) and Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) business models and lending economics.
• Practical skills in financial analysis, forecasting, and business modeling.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with business intelligence tools like BI or Tableau is preferred.
• Capable of translating complex data into clear strategic narratives for investors.
• High sense of ownership with strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Qualifications & Experience
• CA or MBA (Finance or Strategy) from a Tier-1 institution; CFA designation preferred.
• 5-9+ years of experience in Strategy, Investment Banking, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Investor Relations, Rating Agencies, Private Equity/Venture Capital, or within HFC/NBFC sectors.
• Previous exposure to investors, fundraising activities, or interactions with rating agencies is highly advantageous.
