Job Description
As the steward of .CA and a trusted provider of registry services globally, CIRA operates at the core of the Internet. This role sits within Hello Registry, a global domain registry services venture built on CIRA’s industry-leading platform.
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Growth to help shape and grow Hello Registry’s global business. This is a senior, strategic, and highly relationship-driven role for someone who can engage credibly with CEOs, registry executives, technical stakeholders, and major customers across international markets. You will work closely with product and operational teams in Canada and the Netherlands, support complex opportunities from early discussion through implementation, and help operationalize the business as it scales. This is a global, remote role.
Who you are:
You are a business leader who is comfortable working across strategy, customer engagement, and operational execution. You build trust quickly with sophisticated stakeholders and know how to navigate complex, long-cycle opportunities with patience, credibility, and follow-through.
You are equally comfortable speaking with CEOs, customer executives, and technical operators. You know how to translate market and customer needs into actionable internal priorities. You are thoughtful, organized, and calm under pressure, with a strong ability to move opportunities forward while helping strengthen the foundations of the business.
You are energized by the opportunity to help grow Internet infrastructure services that support countries, communities, governments, businesses, and mission-driven organizations around the world.
What you will do:
Lead and advance strategic growth opportunities for Hello Registry across international markets.
Engage directly with CEOs, executive teams, and senior decision-makers at registry operators, partners, governments, brands, and related organizations.
Partner with internal teams to help operationalize the business, including improving processes, handoffs, internal coordination, and go-to-market readiness.
Support complex external conversations that span business, technical, and operational topics, including platform capabilities, migrations, service models, and implementation considerations.
Monitor industry developments including ICANN programs, policy changes, RFPs, market activity, and emerging TLD opportunities, and translate those signals into actionable business priorities.
Lead or materially contribute to proposals, RFP responses, commercial discussions, and internal business cases.
Support new gTLD, ccTLD, and migration opportunities from evaluation through negotiation, onboarding, and early-stage delivery coordination.
Represent Hello Registry and CIRA externally with professionalism and credibility in industry and customer settings.
What you will bring:
Significant experience in business development, strategic partnerships or growth within the domain name industry, Internet infrastructure, or a related technical B2B environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex, consultative commercial or partnership opportunities across multiple stakeholders.
Experience working with senior executives, including the ability to interface confidently with CEOs and executive teams.
Ability to engage credibly with technical customer contacts and internal product or engineering teams.
Experience working cross-functionally across product, operations, and commercial teams to move opportunities into execution.
Strong judgment, organizational ability, and follow-through in managing nuanced opportunities over time.
Global or cross-cultural experience; experience working across distributed international teams is a strong asset.
