Senior Manager Software Applications Description - Job Summary • This role is responsible for leading functional project teams to oversee the entire testing process. The role ensures adherence to testing guidelines and standards, and analyzes test data to provide actionable insights. The role applies advanced subject matter knowledge to improve product quality, mitigate risks, and drive innovation. Responsibilities • Leads and provides expertise to functional project teams of other test engineers and internal and outsourced test partners responsible for all stages of systems, equipment, and device testing, including solution and test plan design, validation, tooling, test execution and results evaluation. • Expands relationships with internal and outsourced partners for systems, equipment, and device testing. • Reviews and evaluates product designs and project activities for compliance with technology and testing guidelines and standards. • Analyzes and interprets test and compliance data and prepares technical reports for use by other engineering, and management personnel. • Resolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing, and coordinating corrective action measures. • Provides tangible feedback based on results to improve product quality and mitigate risk of product failure. • Provides domain-specific expertise and overall test engineering leadership and perspective to cross- organization projects, programs, and activities. • Applies advanced subject matter knowledge, and contributes to other complex projects, and exercises independent judgment in resolving business issues and establishing policies. • Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the test engineering organization. • Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members to set an example of test engineering design and development innovation and excellence. Education & Experience Recommended • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. • Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in debug and validation, or a related field.
