Senior Manager, Product Management

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Product Management at our office in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

About the Opportunity:

As Senior Manager, Product Management, you will lead the civil infrastructure product portfolio with a strong focus on road design and related civil engineering solutions. This role does not own an individual product. Instead, you are responsible for leading, coordinating, and developing a team of Product Managers, each of whom has full ownership of their respective products.

Reporting to the Head of the Business Unit Civil, you are accountable for portfolio level strategy, alignment, and execution. You ensure that customer needs, engineering capabilities, product marketing, and business objectives are consistently aligned across the portfolio.

A key part of this role is portfolio and project management. You provide structure, prioritization, and coordination across multiple products and initiatives, ensuring predictable delivery, clear ownership, and transparency across teams.

You work closely with Product Marketing to ensure that products are positioned, communicated, and marketed effectively on a global level. This role combines people leadership, portfolio ownership, project management, and strong cross functional collaboration.

NOTE: This is a hybrid role where you will be expected to work a minimum of 2 days per week in our Ljubljana office.

Key Responsibilities:

Defining and executing the overall product strategy for the civil infrastructure and road design portfolio, in alignment with the Head of the Business Unit Civil.

Leading and supporting Product Managers who have full ownership of their individual products, including vision, roadmap, and requirements.

Ensuring consistency and alignment across product roadmaps, priorities, and delivery plans.

Translating customer, regulatory, and market needs into clear portfolio level direction, while Product Managers drive detailed product execution.

Owning portfolio level prioritization, dependencies, and resource planning.

Working closely with Product Marketing to ensure clear global positioning, messaging, and differentiation of the product portfolio.

Ensuring that products are marketed consistently and effectively across regions, in cooperation with Product Marketing and Sales Management.

Supporting sales and business development through customer meetings, product presentations, and participation in industry events.

Applying project management principles to coordinate initiatives across multiple products and teams.

Encouraging strong cross functional collaboration between product management, engineering, product marketing, sales, support, and operations.

Overseeing the quality and consistency of technical documentation and training materials across the portfolio.

Hiring, mentoring, and developing Product Managers with civil engineering backgrounds, including performance management and career development.

Maintaining close relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders to support long term growth.

About You:

A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Road Design, Infrastructure Engineering, or a closely related field. A master’s degree or MBA is an advantage.

Strong experience in product management, engineering leadership, or a similar role within civil infrastructure or engineering software.

Proven people management experience, leading Product Managers or senior engineers.

Strong understanding of road design and civil infrastructure workflows, standards, and customer expectations.

Clear customer centric and business oriented mindset, with experience working in global markets.

Solid project management skills, especially in coordinating multiple products and stakeholders.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels of the organization.

Experience with software products and the full product lifecycle.

Familiarity with Agile or similar development methodologies.

A leadership style based on clarity, accountability, and coaching.
